Continuing Education Information

We look forward to your attendance at the 2026 Conference.  The following information is available to assist in processing your continuing education, once the conference concludes.


Learning Objectives

Upon completion, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify and describe recent advancements and best practices in addiction care, including emerging treatment methodologies and innovative harm reduction strategies.
  2. Evaluate various multidisciplinary approaches presented throughout the conference and integrate these strategies into their practice to enhance collaborative care and patient outcomes.
  3. Review and apply strategies to address health disparities and promote equity in addiction treatment, focusing on culturally competent care and inclusive practices.
  4. Apply new acquired knowledge and skills from the conference to improve their management of substance use disorders, including advanced treatment techniques and patient support strategies.


Accreditation & Credit Designation Statements

Joint Accreditation Statement In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Wisconsin Society of Addiction Medicine (WISAM) and the American Society of Addiction Medicine. The American Society of Addiction Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physicians The American Society of Addiction Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 11 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Disclosures

In accordance with the disclosure policies of ASAM and Joint Accreditation, the effort is made to ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor in all accredited continuing education activities. These policies include identifying and mitigating all relevant financial relationships with ineligible companies for those involved in the creation and dissemination of accredited continuing education. How to Claim Credit

Learners have 30 days to complete the CE evaluation, claim credit, and download the CME/CE certificate. 

Participants can claim credit directly from ASAM by completing the steps below:

  1. Visit ASAM
  2. If you haven’t logged into the new ASAM Portal, click “Set Up an Account” and enter your ASAM Credentials, First Name, and Last Name. If you have logged in, click “Login” 
  3. Complete the questions and verify your email to set up your account in the new Association Management System (AMS) 

Once in your account portal, scroll down and

  1. Click on the Visit eLearning Center button
  2. When the page loads, click on Login/Create account (the page should then say your name) 
  3. Click on this link: https://elearning.asam.org/products/2026-wisam-regional-conference-september-24-25-2026
  4. Click on the green Register button
  5. Scroll down to complete the stops to claim your credits and download your certificate 
  6. Once you are registered, you can complete the evaluation and obtain your certificate
